New Generation Dockmate now connects directly to ZF Smart Command controls

Date: 24-12-2021

Dockmate, the popular and affordable wireless control system that enables skippers to remotely control their engines and other controls without losing any feeling or response time, is now fully compatible with ZF Smart Command controls.

Dockmate can now simply connect to ZF Smart Command controls via CANbus, with no requirement for any third part interface. Once connected, the Dockmate system will control the idle and neutral functions of the gear box and, when using Dockmate’s Twist handset, skippers can also use proportional throttle control for even more control over manoeuvring.

Thanks to a recent comprehensive hardware and ergonomic upgrade, Dockmate, the popular and affordable wireless control system that enables skippers to remotely control their engines and other controls without losing any feeling or response time, is now even easier and more intuitive to use.

Suitable for both single- and twin-engine controls, Dockmate’s new layout, complete with remodeled buttons, gives operators a far more tactile feel. Thanks to the addition of a vibration response, alongside the existing visual (LED) and audible (buzzer), it also increases safety and delivers a more intuitive experience.

Dockmate, which is becoming increasingly popular as key waterways become more congested, delivers stress-free docking in all situations, enabling skippers to leave their helm stations while remaining in full control of their vessel. Thanks to Dockmate’s wireless hand control options, skippers can operate their thrusters and engine throttles from anywhere on board, ensuring both total control and the best possible visibility while manoeuvring in marinas and other tight quarters.

With a design that enables functions to be added at any time, Dockmate comes with a 3-year factory warranty and is now available through Lusty and Blundell’s showrooms in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore; Whangarei and Tauranga.
