Scanstrut Helm Pods
With great new design features, Scanstrut Helm Pods are a perfect choice for all cockpit configurations. With options to fit radar displays, chartplotters and standard navigation instruments, the choice is yours!
The range can accommodate displays from 8-15" or 3 or standard instruments (e.g. i50/i60/i70S). Using a unique clamping system the pods can fit pedestal rails from 25mm to 33.7mm in diameter and the deep pods fit rail widths from 178mm upwards. The saddle system supports the stainless tubing enabling a secure and rigid fit onto any pedestal. It also ensures a watertight seal at cable entry. The fixings fit from back to front cutting their threads into injection moulded ABS inserts designed into the Pod front, meaning no drilling into stainless rails. This design allows for a quick and safe install and repeat servicing.
The pod seal is manufactured from high tear strength silicone with a very high resistance to heat and UV so won’t deteriorate over time. Scanpods are supplied uncut for your own installation of plotters and/or instruments
